Wrigley plaza ordinance approved

3-Oct-12 – The city council has approved a plan introduced last month by 42nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly to help the Wrigley Building reconstruct at its own expense its much-travelled plaza next to Michigan Avenue.

An ordinance is necessary because the Wrigley plaza is owned by the city and the work would be done by the Chicago Department of Transportation. The renovations will cost the developer, 400-410 Michigan Real Estate, LLC, about $2 million.
