31-Oct-16 – Do you leave your condo unit unlocked when you’re away? You may want to reconsider.

A condo association in the Gold Coast neighborhood caught a woman suspected of entering “several” unlocked units and stealing personal items.

The woman was nabbed last Thursday at 1445 North State Parkway, according to a resident, by a doorman after another resident alerted him that the woman was the thief. The doorman kept the woman from leaving until police arrived.

According to a memo to residents from Cathleen Goldner, property manager for State Parkway Condominium Association, the woman “had authorization to enter the building.”

All items known to be stolen were recovered but police are not sure how many units were entered.
