May 6, 2016 – A bar way north of the Loop, near Lincoln Avenue & Montrose Avenue, will take over the spot on the Riverwalk that Flander’s Belgian Beer & Fries had last year.

“Tiny Lounge On The Riverwalk, LLC” has applied for a “consumption on premises” liquor license.

Flander’s will not be back this year. An owner of Flander’s declined to comment. So did Colleen Flaherty, owner of Tiny Lounge, other than, “an official announcement is forthcoming.”

The new LLC is owned by Flaherty and Mark Johnson, the bar’s managing partner.

Tiny Lounge was once located on West Addison Street until 2006, when it was torn down so that the Addison Brown Line CTA Station could be expanded.

In 2014, Mayor Rahm Emanuel told Chicago Tribune that Tiny Lounge was one of his favorite bars in Chicago.
