(Images obtained from Chicago Police Department.) 4-Nov-17 – In the middle of the day on Friday, thieves smashed display cases at a jewelry store on Michigan Avenue and stole expensive watches – and this is the second time it’s happened. At 11:40 a.m., three men entered Tourneau on the third floor of Water Tower Place, smashed a glass display case with a hammer, took the watches, and ran off. The same thing happened on October 13 at about 11:00 a.m. Following that robbery, the thieves got away in a gold Jeep Cherokee. The men are described as black, 16 to 20 years old, between five-feet-eight-inches and six-feet tall, 165 to 185 pounds. They were all wearing hooded sweatshirts with a Nike logo. One sweatshirt was black, another gray, and the third was red. No injuries were reported.
