10-Aug-11 – Police are looking for a tall, slender black male in Monday’s shooting on the State Street Bridge. According to an official description released on Wednesday, the suspect is approximately six feel tall, with a short “Afro” hairstyle. He was wearing a light blue dress shirt, black shorts, and possibly a raincoat.

As of Wednesday afternoon, there were no new updates from police detectives working on the case, according to Chicago Police Officer Veejay Zala.

The victim, 29-year-old Todd Brown, remains at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, alive with a bullet lodged in his head. A man walking next to him – who then fled east on Wacker Drive – shot him on the State Street Bridge on Monday at about 5:00 p.m.

Brown, from the southeast side of Chicago, was walking from a bus stop at State & Wacker to Smith & Wollensky, where he had been a dishwasher for about five weeks.

He reportedly has a criminal record and was shot once before, last August.
