2-Oct-13 – Filming over the Chicago River in March made it into the pilot of a new network television drama that aired on Sunday.

A scene involving a helicopter, police and fire vehicles, was shot very late at night on March 25 between the Clark and LaSalle Street Bridges.

Betrayal is about a Chicago woman who is married to a prosecutor in a murder case and having an affair with the defense attorney. In the pilot episode, a man is found dead in the river and the suspect is a character named T.J., played by Henry Thomas, who is the son of the wealthy, powerful Thatcher Karsten, portrayed by James Cromwell.

Adapted from a television drama in the Netherlands, the series is being filmed in Chicago by ABC Studios.

Reviews have not been kind. The Hollywood Reporter called the show “instantly forgettable.” Variety called it a “soap” that “falls somewhere between Lifetime movie and perfume ad.”
