February 27, 2012 – (Above) Work continues on a new retractable enclosure over the rooftop bar at theWit. Mark Shouger, general manager of the hotel, says it will be ready by May.

Seen here from Marina City, the north side of the rooftop is missing, at least for now, the same type of transparency that adorns the west side. (Click on image to view larger version.)

Pieces of the new roof will be hoisted up the side of the hotel on Saturday between 9 a.m. and noon. On Sunday morning, a helicopter will lift materials to the roof.
