MTCA Board of Director candidates announced

1-Apr-08 – Candidates for MTCA board of directors have been announced. Election materials are being mailed to unit owners by the CPA firm of Picker & Associates. Each candidate has submitted written information and will be allowed a three-minute presentation at the annual meeting scheduled for Monday, April 28, at 7:00 p.m.

With ten candidates and ten board positions, everyone running will be elected. The only question is who will have a regular two-year term and who will serve out the remaining year for two board members who did not finish their two-year terms. Edwena P. Monago resigned from the board shortly after she was elected last year. Berry T. Stevens died in February 2008.

According to the MTCA election notice, “the eight candidates receiving the highest number of votes will serve for two years and the remaining two elected candidates will serve for one year.”

With names of incumbents marked with an asterisk, the candidates are…
