Photo: Model floor gets new tile

27-Sep-10 – (Above) Egyptian glass tile is freshly installed in the elevator lobby on the 53rd floor of the east tower at Marina City. It replaces a marble wall that was installed in the late 1970s. The model floor will give unit owners a taste of proposed changes to the residential hallways. (Click on image to view larger version.)

(Below) On October 6, the wall was covered to protect it from painting and other messy work nearby.
