Skyscraper: Art and Architecture Against Gravity will examine how skyscrapers are interpreted in contemporary works of art. Artists throughout the world, says the MCA, “have been enthralled by the human desire to build farther and farther into the sky, testing technological limits while embodying a yearning for spiritual connection to the heavens.”

The exhibit, which will run through September 23, also includes an image by Michael Wolf from around 2007 of a close-up view of balconies at Marina City.
