October 5, 2014 – Blues legend B.B. King has cancelled eight shows that remain in his current tour after he became ill during a performance Friday night at House of Blues.

A physician, who quickly examined the 89-year-old, diagnosed King with dehydration and exhaustion.

His show in Chicago was scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. On Wednesday, King did a 70-minute set with his seven-piece band in Kansas City.

On Tuesday, King posted this message on his website…

“I’m back at home now listening to music, watching movies, and enjoying some down time. I think I’m busier at home now than on the road, talking to friends calling to check up on me. I do appreciate everyone’s calls and concern. I want to tell you, I’m doing alright.”
