4-Mar-20 – Charges have been filed in connection with a Christmastime home invasion at Marina City.

Amrose Kaler, age 20, turned himself in at the 18th District police station at around 7:00 p.m. on February 27, according to Chicago Police Department.

Around 8:15 p.m. on December 17, 2019, three men forced their way into a 23-year-old man’s condo at Marina City. One of the offenders shoved the victim against a wall and punched him in the jaw, the victim said. Then they stole the man’s phone and took $1,000 from his safe. The victim told police that he knew all three of the men who were involved.

Court records show Circuit Judge David Navarro set bail at $10,000 and Kaler went home after posting ten percent.
