More renderings of slender Hilton planned for East Wacker Place

22-Nov-13 – Four renderings and one floor plan sum up the 100-by-48-foot Hilton Garden Inn planned for 66 East Wacker Place. The 27-floor 191-room hotel will fit snugly between the Seventeenth Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago Motor Club Building, and Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront (formerly Hotel 71).

GREC Architects A typical guestroom floor plan. There will be eight rooms on each of 24 floors, each room about 280 square feet in size, looking either north or south.

GREC Architects created these plans for GDS Companies, a Chicago firm representing the owner of the property, Magna Hospitality Group of Rhode Island. They were displayed at a public meeting on November 18 that was hosted by 42nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly.

The hotel will open no earlier than the spring of 2015.
