14-Feb-17 – The episode of American Greed about former Marina City resident Dr. Gary Kimmel will air February 27 at 9 p.m. Central Time on CNBC, according to the white-collar crime show’s production company, Kurtis Productions.

Kimmel was a River North dentist who spent 17 months in federal prisons for money laundering schemes involving pimps and prostitutes. He was a unit owner at Marina City and at one time served on its condo board.

He pleaded guilty in 2008 and did time at minimum-security prisons in Illinois and Kansas. He currently resides in the Philippines with his wife and three children.

It will be American Greed’s 135th episode. The nationally syndicated show interviewed Kimmel’s defense attorney, Joseph Lopez, the federal prosecutor who is now in private practice, an FBI agent and other law enforcement representatives, and former Marina City resident and writer Mike Doyle.
