Marina City in glimpse of grim future

Ubisoft

June 18, 2012 – (Above) Marina City (far right) as it appears in a new video game announced on June 4 by France’s Ubisoft. Watch Dogs is an action-adventure title set in the near future in Chicago, which is controlled, according to promotional material, by a single supercomputer. “But who controls the computers?”

The game’s main character is Aiden Pierce, who uses his “fists and wits” and “can hack into anything at any time.” The game has not been released yet but is coming soon to a PC, PS3, or Xbox 360 near you.

On Monday, the game’s demo on YouTube had been viewed more than five million times.
