17-Nov-24 – The CTA says a new entrance to the Thompson Center, near the intersection of Clark & Lake, will improve accessibility to one of its busiest stations.
The new entrance, says the CTA, also will attract more foot traffic to the surrounding area.
Currently, the main entrance is located under existing L tracks along Lake Street, but the relocation promises a more visible and user-friendly access point for more than 9,000 daily commuters.

Work on the new entrance is expected to be completed in November 2025.
