Downtown Chicago picks Clinton, Kasich Election results from Chicago’s 42nd Ward 17-Mar-16 – In one precinct, she won by just one vote but Hillary Clinton was clearly the favorite among voters in all of Chicago’s 42nd Ward. The ward includes much of the Loop, Streeterville, River North, areas west of the Loop, and some of the Gold Coast. In time for Tuesday’s 2016 Primary Election, there were 35,704 registered voters in the 42nd Ward and of those, 48 percent voted, slightly below the city-wide turnout of 50 percent.
