6-Aug-18 – A Chicago Fire crew member was threatened with a knife when she tried to stop a man from breaking into one of the television show’s production trailers in the Loop, according to Chicago police.

The 24-year-old woman was working in a trailer on Wabash Avenue between Washington and Lake Streets on July 27 when she heard noise coming from behind the trailer. She stepped outside and, say prosecutors, found 51-year-old Burt McDonald (left) trying to climb into the trailer.

When the woman intervened, McDonald pulled out a knife and, according to charges, waved it at her.

McDonald was arrested a short time later when he returned to the film set. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and released on a recognizance bond.
