According to Reilly, after the city revoked its licenses on June 30, Concrete Cowboy voluntarily surrendered them effective July 2 and is now closed. “As a neighbor, Alderman Reilly had witnessed many of these incidents first-hand,” said Reilly’s office, “including chronic late-night traffic congestion, corresponding vehicular noise, and noise created by patrons outside of the establishment.” A public nuisance case filed against Concrete Cowboy in 2019 included 50 specific charges. Concrete Cowboy opened in 2016 after purchasing the licenses of the former operator. Reilly says a liquor license moratorium will prevent any further licenses from being approved for the location. |
