7-Sep-23 – With 750 slot machines and 48 table games, the Bally’s casino at Medinah Temple in River North will open as early as September 9. The Illinois Gaming Board will decide the exact date after inspecting the casino this week.

The three-story, 45,000 square foot casino is intended as a temporary location, open 24/7 for no more than three years while a larger casino is constructed at Chicago & Halsted.

42nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly says he “remains vehemently opposed” to both the temporary and permanent casino locations.
