BIN 36 re-opens following health department violation 26-Jun-08 – Two days after being closed by the Chicago Department of Public Health, BIN 36 passed a re-inspection and re-opened early Wednesday evening. An infestation of fruit flies in the food preparation area, discovered by Public Health Department inspectors, led to the temporary closing of the Marina City restaurant. Representatives of BIN 36 will appear at an administrative hearing on July 24 and pay a fine expected to be $500. |
